# Click map

The same click data as Heatmaps, ranked by the exact element visitors hit most.

## What a click map shows

Click maps use the same aggregated click data as [Heatmaps](/docs/heatmaps), pinned to clicks only. Instead of just showing density on the page, ReplayPilot resolves each hot spot against a real rendered sample session. It ranks the elements visitors clicked by tag, id, and class, most-clicked first.

## Where it comes from

A click map doesn't run a separate pipeline. It reads the same heatmap_aggregates table Heatmaps does, filtered to event_type = 'click', then resolves each bucket's coordinates against one sample session's rendered DOM at read time.

Note: one sample session's layout stands in for every session on that page. If a page's layout changes a lot between visits, the ranked element list can drift from what a specific visitor saw.

## Who gets it
