# Shared links

Share a single session with a link, no account needed on the other end.

## Create a shared link

Open any session's detail page and click **Share externally**. ReplayPilot generates a link and copies it to your clipboard automatically: there's nothing else to do. See [Replays](/docs/replays) for how to find and open a session.

The link points at exactly one session. Anyone who opens it can watch that recording, no ReplayPilot account needed on their end.

## What someone sees on a shared link

A shared link shows less than your own dashboard does. The person you send it to sees:

- The player, so they can watch the recording.

- The page, browser, and duration.

- Whether the session had an error.

They don't get the action-log timeline, the AI summary, or the console/network panel. Those stay inside your dashboard, visible only when you're signed in.

## Expiry

A shared link expires **7 days** after you create it. The window isn't adjustable. Every link gets the same 7 days, whether a teammate opens it in five minutes or a client opens it next week.

## Revoke a link

You can revoke sharing for a session any time, in two places:

- The **Shares** page, which lists every shared link across your account.

- The session's own detail page.

Revoking kills every active link for that session at once. There's no way to revoke just one link and leave another active for the same session: if you've shared a session twice, revoking turns off both links together.

## Shared links vs. "copy link to this moment"

Don't confuse a shared link with **copy link to this moment**, a different button on the session detail page. That one copies a link that seeks the player to your current timestamp, but it only works for someone who's already signed in to your ReplayPilot account. A shared link is the one that works for anyone, signed in or not.
